Coffee & Its Origins

Updated: Feb 4, 2022

Where does Coffee come from? When did it come to America? What brands of coffee do you drink every morning. Would you be willing to try other brands across the world? This Blogpost will inform, educate, and surprise you about these wonderful beans.

Coffee found its place in the world around the early 1500s. The adventure began in or around Yemen. Then made its way towards Egypt, Turkey, and Syria. These were some of the first countries to take part in drinking this black mystery juice.

In the middle of the 17th century, coffee made its way towards America. This blew into something that around 60% of Americans drink in the present time. That amounts to over 400 million cups of coffee sold per day on average.

MY PICK FOR THE TOP BRAND OF COFFEE SOLD IN AMERICA.

Starbucks is some of the best-tasting coffee on the planet. Starbucks Coffee beans come from 400,000 farms in 30 countries (www.starbucks.com).

The taste of this coffee is great, but my decision to drink this brand over all the others is about diversity. This company promotes workers rights, social, and environmentally safe practices. They understand the value of where the beans come from and not just the top profits they can make of this Coffee brand. It makes sense they sell over 4 billion cups yearly. Not bad for a company that protects everyone from the ground up within their company. Ethics play a major role in my buying decisions from a corporation, me.
